About Inner Wheel Club
Inner Wheel Club is the world`s second largest women`s voluntary social service organization , open to wives of Rotary members and Rotaract as well as family members of Inner Wheel members .The club may also invite few persons whom they wish to become honorary members. It is a service and fellowship NGO . Inner Wheel began on 10th Jan 1924 with a meeting of Rotarian wives in Manchester , England when Mrs. Margaret Golding presided over a club. Inner Wheel enjoys consultancy status with the United Nation. Inner Wheel links together members in different parts of the world including Europe , India , Asia , Africa , Australia , Canada and United States of America to name but a few . One of the greatest feature of Inner Wheel is the opportunity given to members the world over to get to know one another ,thus contributing to international friendship and understanding. The Inner Wheel movement renders service to the community primarily based on its motto "Friendship with Service". Services rendered include overseas projects, emergency aids and domestic charity support. It currently has over 103,000 members with 3829 clubs worldwide.
